Athletes COMPETE, Coaches COACH, Officials OFFICIATE, and Parents SUPPORT
COACHES
► As a coach it is my responsibility to lead by example by being a positive role model to all athletes.
► I will promote fairness and participation towards all athletes.
► I will ensure the rules of the sport are fully communicated and understood by the athletes and parents.
► As a coach, I will treat athletes with respect and promote the value of their effort whether they win or lose.
► I will maintain self control at all times and refrain from inappropriate actions.
► I will encourage emotional & physical development.
► I will demonstrate a sound winning philosophy, by endorsing discipline, promoting commitment & sportsmanship.
► I will remember to have fun and enjoy the season!
ATHLETES
► As an athlete, I will understand and follow the rules of my sport.
► I will conduct myself in a sportsmanlike fashion and remember whether I win or lose, I will do so graciously.
► Even if I disagree I will respect my coach.
► I will accept the decision of the officials with grace.
► As an athlete, I will use respectful language towards teammates and opponents.
► I will maintain self control at all times and refrain from inappropriate actions.
► I will remember that it is all about participation.
► As an athlete, I will show respect towards my coach and fellow athletes by attending practices.
► I will remember to have fun and enjoy the season!
PARENTS
► As the parent of an athlete, it is my responsibility to support the values of discipline, loyalty, commitment and hard work.
► I will not interfere with the coach by instructing my child at a practice or competition.
► I will demonstrate good sportsmanship by conducting myself in a manner that earns the respect of my child, other athletes, parents, officials and coaches.
► I will maintain self-control at all times and refrain from inappropriate actions.
► As a parent, I understand that criticizing, name- calling, use of abusive language or gestures directed at the coach, officials or any participating athlete is not tolerated or permitted.
► When I become involved, I will communicate positively towards the athletes, coaches and other parents.
► As a parent, I will address any concerns regarding decisions made by officials directly with the coaches.
► I will remember to have fun and enjoy the season!
