COACHES
â–º As a coach it is my responsibility to lead by example by being a positive role model to all athletes.
â–º I will promote fairness and participation towards all athletes.
â–º I will ensure the rules of the sport are fully communicated and understood by the athletes and parents.
â–º As a coach, I will treat athletes with respect and promote the value of their effort whether they win or lose.
â–º I will maintain self control at all times and refrain from inappropriate actions.
â–º I will encourage emotional & physical development.
â–º I will demonstrate a sound winning philosophy, by endorsing discipline, promoting commitment & sportsmanship.
â–º I will remember to have fun and enjoy the season!
ATHLETES
â–º As an athlete, I will understand and follow the rules of my sport.
â–º I will conduct myself in a sportsmanlike fashion and remember whether I win or lose, I will do so graciously.
â–º Even if I disagree I will respect my coach.
â–º I will accept the decision of the officials with grace.
â–º As an athlete, I will use respectful language towards teammates and opponents.
â–º I will maintain self control at all times and refrain from inappropriate actions.
â–º I will remember that it is all about participation.
â–º As an athlete, I will show respect towards my coach and fellow athletes by attending practices.
â–º I will remember to have fun and enjoy the season!
PARENTS
â–º As the parent of an athlete, it is my responsibility to support the values of discipline, loyalty, commitment and hard work.
â–º I will not interfere with the coach by instructing my child at a practice or competition.
â–º I will demonstrate good sportsmanship by conducting myself in a manner that earns the respect of my child, other athletes, parents, officials and coaches.
â–º I will maintain self-control at all times and refrain from inappropriate actions.
â–º As a parent, I understand that criticizing, name- calling, use of abusive language or gestures directed at the coach, officials or any participating athlete is not tolerated or permitted.
â–º When I become involved, I will communicate positively towards the athletes, coaches and other parents.
â–º As a parent, I will address any concerns regarding decisions made by officials directly with the coaches.
â–º I will remember to have fun and enjoy the season!
